Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated Consultant Rheumatologist to join a well-established, progressive and supportive team.
This part-time post is based at Dorset County Hospital, a modern acute hospital located in the county town of Dorchester. The majority of the post holder’s clinical activity will take place at the Trust, however some outpatient clinics are held at community hospitals within the Dorset area.
The appointee will share with his/her colleagues the provision of a general Rheumatology service to West Dorset and North Dorset. The successful applicant will be expected to conduct outpatient clinics at the Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, Weymouth Community Hospital, Blandford Hospital, Bridport Hospital and Sherborne Hospital. The number and site of peripheral outpatient clinics may alter as part of ongoing changes within the department.
Applicants should be accredited or eligible for accreditation before taking up appointment, or have received confirmation from the GMC that the training they have received has been sufficient for them to be regarded as a suitable applicant for a consultant post. Those who are within six months of obtaining their CCST may apply.
