Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse – Band 7 - Lulworth Ward
Full time post – 37.5 hours
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who wants to lead and develop the Surgical & Gastro Nursing team. You will work within a friendly and supportive team providing expert professional advice and clinical leadership.
Lulworth Ward has 31 Beds specialising in Complex colorectal surgery, urology and gastroenterology conditions. The ward is also a step down area for Critical Care. Lulworth ward is supported by an addictions nurse, clinical practice educator and a patient flow nurse coordinator.
You will need to be a forward thinking individual who is willing to lead and develop patient services . You must have a proven track record of progressive leadership and development. Be an effective role model, self motivated with the passion, drive and adaptability to cope with continuously changing services.
You should possess excellent communication skills, be visible and accessible with quality and standards as your priority. You will need to be flexible and resilient in order to cope with the demands of the role. In addition you must be adaptable to change and influence your team members to enable you to implement and evaluate new ways of working.
If you are forward thinking, dynamic and enthusiastic and have at least 2 years band 6 experience and experience of leadership and management then this post is for you. You will support and develop the team ensuring they are valued and skilled to manage their patient caseload.
