Outstanding Career

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Acute Physician at Dorset County Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and high performing Trust, with a strong track record of achievement and innovation in Acute Medicine.

The Acute Medicine service works closely with the Emergency Department, ensuring seamless flow from the front door.  This contributes significantly to the Trust’s consistently strong performance against the ED access standards, with the Acute and Emergency Medicine teams working closely together at all times.

The Trust has a well-established Ambulatory Emergency Care service and the nationally recognised Acute Hospital at Home service, both of which benefit from Consultant Acute Physician leadership. The Acute Physicians also work closely with the Care of the Elderly team, with exciting developments underway to revitalise the Trust’s Frailty pathways. This multi-specialty approach to service improvement and delivery ensures that the role is dynamic and well-supported with a  commitment to improvement.

So, if you are an Acute Physician who would like to be a part of a successful, high performing, and collaborative team in a Trust committed to system-wide innovation, we would like to speak with you.
